Cadet Members

  1. First review Cadet Member Information and FAQs… this will explain the joining process and answer most of your questions. Once you have decided CAP is for you and have discussed joining with your parents:
    • Have your mom or dad help you fill out CAP Form 15 (Application for Cadet Membership).
    • You should fill the application out, make two extra copies, and sign all three copies.
    • The “charter number” on the top of the form should read “RMR-CO-179”.
    • Make sure you read the oath and sign the form, and have a parent or guardian sign also.
    • Complete the medical information on the second page.  If you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions, this page will also need to be signed by your physician with an evaluation of your current medical condition.
    • At the next meeting, present your copies of the completed application to Lieutenant Brown or Lieutenant Thorn, along with two checks. $39 made out to National Headquarters CAP (this covers your National and Colorado Wing dues for the next year). $20 made out to CAP Pueblo Eagles Composite Squadron (this covers squadron dues for the year).

Senior Member

  1. First review Senior Member Information and FAQs
  2. Attend a squadron meeting, observe, and ask lots of questions!
    • Ask the squadron commander or any senior member for an F.B.I. fingerprint card and a membership application…be sure to print the application double sided.
    • At the next meeting, present your copies of the completed application to Lieutenant Brown or Lieutenant Thorn, along with two checks. $64 made out to National Headquarters CAP (this covers your National and Colorado Wing dues for the next year). $20 made out to CAP Pueblo Eagles Composite Squadron (this covers squadron dues for the year).
    • Mail your original application, the fingerprint card, and a check for $72 to the address on the bottom of the application.
    • Once CAPNHQ approves your application, your fingerprint card will be forwarded to the F.B.I. for a background check, and you will be issued a temporary membership card with a CAPID, which will permit you to particpate in squadron activites on a limited basis.  You will not be permitted to work with cadet members while in temporary status, but you may begin working on your Level I training (including the cadet protection online test and the operational security training).
